With all the new features and changes happening on social media, it can feel overwhelming to navigate the space as an entrepreneur.
And things can get especially tough if you're a sensitive and intuitive person who loves to share their depth through long-form content.
You might find it difficult to stand out amongst 30-second clips, the dancing Reels…whatever the platform feels is deserving of going viral this week.
So what’s the solution?
It’s to beat the algorithm at its own game by marketing to a select few instead of the whole app itself.
Because here’s the deal.👇🏽
We don't need the full app to see us in order to be millionaires. You just need the right people to see.
For example, if your news feed is feeling really loud, post a Reel inviting in stillness, or a self-care reminder.
When you truly understand what your brand stands for, it's easy to create a strategy that still feels like YOU. That still conveys the depth of your message and stands out to those who are meant to work with you. ✨
Do not dilute your message. Instead, simply use the new algorithm tools to simplify what you're really trying to share.
Remember, we don't need millions of views to make millions of dollars. We just need clarity so that the message you do put out finds the right people.
Don’t Act Like A Victim Of The Algorithm
Everything you know about manifestation still applies to social media.
And social media is doing a REALLY great job at making you think their algorithms have more power over you, your mission, and your money than actual universal law.
Those that make it are those who are willing to defy all odds.
And the only way to do that is to stop giving our power away to the matrix illusions of artificial intelligence that is the algorithm.
If you believe your success is inevitable, then hold that to be true.
Because I can get 200 views on a Reel and still have a scaling, multiple-six-figure business. They are not mutually exclusive.
My people still find me because they are one of those 200 views.
Diversify The Platforms You Use To Spread Your Message
One of the most important things to recognize is that you have a business…not just an Instagram profile.
Social media is borrowed land.
If it shuts down tomorrow, will you be able to thrive?
Don't get me wrong. I'd be pissed if I'd lost my work or had to start from scratch.
But at least I know that I’ve taken strides to build my community elsewhere. I have close to 100 articles on my blog and an engaged email community.
And I encourage you to do the same.
Make sure to grow your business and community outside of social media.
That means growing your email list where there is no algorithm to beat
Inviting your community to online workshops where you can actually meet them face to face
Creating evergreen products so that your work exists on platforms that you actually own
For many of us millennials and Gen Zs, whose adulthood has walked hand in hand with social media platforms, it can be difficult to separate our power and presence from the avatars that we've created.
But it is vital to unhook our self-worth and Most Abundant Timeline™ from metrics. We have to ground into personal power first, and then grow online as a byproduct. Not the other way around.
